Successful Transformation of I-BFM into a Registered Association
We are pleased to announce the successful legal transformation of the I-BFM into a registered association under German law. This important change marks a significant milestone in our organization’s development, providing a robust legal framework to support our mission and scientific activities. The statutes were officially signed by our esteemed founding members: Arndt Borkhardt, Andrea Biondi, Edit Bardi, Melina Mescher, Jan Zuna, André Baruchel, Martin Schrappe, Jean-Pierre Bourquin, Gianni Cazzaniga and Rob Pieters. We extend our gratitude to the Dean of the University Hospital, Prof. Nikolai Klöcker and to the lawyers from Fehn legal, Frank Sarangi and Christina Heneka for their invaluable support throughout this process.
As a registered association, I-BFM will benefit from enhanced governance, greater operational transparency and improved capacity to continue the scientific activities and to collaborate with international partners. We remain committed to advancing research and treatment for childhood cancers and this transformation strengthens our ability to achieve these goals.
Thank you for your continued support as we embark on this new chapter.
